Description

Bactigras is a sterile, low-adherence antiseptic dressing made of soft paraffin gauze impregnated with chlorhexidine acetate to protect wounds and reduce infection. It soothes and protects minor burns, lacerations, abrasions, and graft sites, while allowing wound drainage into a secondary absorbent dressing to support healing and minimize discomfort.

Description and function

  • Antiseptic: Contains 0.5% w/w chlorhexidine acetate to help prevent and treat wound infection.
  • Low adherence: The soft paraffin base makes it non-stick, so it can be removed with minimal trauma and pain during dressing changes.
  • Protective: Soothes and protects the wound, creating a barrier against infection.
  • Allows drainage: Its gauze structure allows wound fluid to drain freely into a secondary, absorbent dressing.
  • Flexible: The sterile gauze can be cut to size to fit different wounds without fraying.

Precautions

  • Do not use on more than 10% of the body's surface area.
  • Do not use if there is a known allergy or sensitivity to chlorhexidine.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, middle ear, meninges, and brain.
  • Do not use with oxidizing wound cleaning agents, soaps, or other anionic materials.
  • Consult a healthcare provider for any serious wounds, and seek immediate medical advice if redness or discomfort occurs.

Refund are processed after the returned item is inspected and approved, and the
amount refunded reflects the purchase price, including an promotions. Shipping
costs are non-refundable and may be deducted from the refund amount.

Standard Delivery:
We process and dispatch orders within 2 business days, with delivery times
ranging from 2 to 9 business days, depending on the location. 

Delivery is only available within Australia, using road courier services, which do not deliver to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers. You will be notified via email when your order has been dispatched.

Shipping Costs and Free Shipping:
Free shipping is available for orders over $100 (excluding GST).  For
orders under $100, a flat fee of $16.50 applies for most states, with a $23.50 flat fee for WA and NT. 

Issues and Special Instructions:
If an order encounters issues such as payment verification delays, incorrect
address information, or transit damage/loss, we will contact you via phone to resolve the issue. For
