Funding Programs

The Australian government provides a range of continence subsidy schemes to assist with the ongoing financial commitment of purchasing continence products. The funding is available to all Australian citizens who meet the eligibility criteria. For more information on this criteria and how to apply for this funding, simply select the relevant scheme and obtain information through their website (links provided).

Home Care Packages

Home Care Packages (HCP) are one of the ways that older Australians can access affordable care services to get some help at home. They are designed for those with more complex care needs that go beyond what the Commonwealth Home Support Programme can provide.

Home Care Packages can be an option if you need a coordinated approach to the delivery of your help at home - perhaps because you need help with many everyday tasks, or the care you need is more complex or intensive.

Call us on 1800 888 541 to speak to our staff about any healthcare products that can support you to maintain your independence and achieve your goals.

HEN Program

Funding refers to home enteral nutrition administered in the home environment by the patient or carer without a health care provider present.

Public health services will be funded to actual reported activity levels. The level of activity undertaken in the previous year will be used to estimate the activity level to cashflow funding through the year. Any recall/throughput adjustment is applied at the full rate at the end of each financial year for health services whose activity is below or over target.

We supply Flavour Creations products under HEN.

CAPS (Continence Aids Payment Scheme)

CAPS is an Australian Government payment that assists eligible individuals who have permanent and severe incontinence to meet some of the costs of continence products.

How does CAPS work?
The Continence Aids Payment Scheme (CAPS) consists of a direct payment to clients.  It is delivered by Services Australia and the payment is made directly into a client’s nominated bank account.

Eligible clients can purchase their products from their preferred supplier, such as Atlas McNeil Healthcare, and may, if they prefer, opt to have their CAPS payment deposited directly to their product supplier of choice.

For more information including the payment rate, click here.

You can choose either an annual payment made at the start of each financial year, or a bi-annual payment in July and January each year.

Who is eligible for CAPS?

To be eligible for CAPS, you must:
• be 5 years or older
• have permanent and severe incontinence (bladder or bowel) confirmed by a registered health professional
• have eligible neurological conditions, or other conditions as mentioned on the Department of Health and Aged Care website
• be an Australian permanent resident or citizen for as long as you receive the payment
